Council: Weir Views sits within Melton City Council, and registration, inspection and Form 23 lodgement follow the same statewide rules that apply across the rest of the municipality.

The newest release in the cluster. Weir Views is genuinely the newest estate along this whole growth corridor, and almost every pool barrier I inspect here is a first registration straight off a builder handover — there's barely any established stock in the suburb yet. That means the checklist is different from the rest of Melton: it's rarely about wear, and almost always about whether the gate hardware was genuinely adjusted for the pool standard rather than left at a generic factory setting.

New doesn't mean automatic pass. A brand-new gate can fail exactly the same way an old one can if the self-closing or self-latching action wasn't tested and adjusted correctly at installation. I check every barrier the same way regardless of age.

How Weir Views compares to its neighbours. Cobblebank is the same near-uniform new-estate pattern one suburb over; Fraser Rise, further along the corridor, is a similar new-growth story with more swim spas and plunge pools on its compact lots; Melton South, on the older side of the corridor, mixes in genuine hardware-age wear alongside its own newer pockets.
