Terms &
Conditions

The general terms that apply when you book a pool safety inspection with us.

Last updated: July 2026.

These terms apply when you book a pool safety inspection with Local Pool Inspections. By booking, you agree to the terms below.

Our fee

Our pool and spa barrier inspection is a flat $250, all-inclusive (as at July 2026). There's no call-out fee and no hidden extras on top of that price.

Form 23 certificate

Where your barrier is compliant on inspection, we issue your Form 23 certificate, generally the same day. You, as the owner, are then responsible for lodging the certificate with your local council within the statutory 30-day window — we don't lodge it on your behalf.

Free re-inspection

If your barrier doesn't pass on the day, you'll receive a Non-Conformance Report listing exactly what needs fixing. Once you've had the work done, the follow-up re-inspection is included in your original $250 fee — no second call-out charge.

Repair-cost estimates

Anywhere on our site or in our reports where we mention a likely repair cost, that figure is an indicative estimate only. Actual costs vary depending on your specific site, the materials used, and the tradesperson engaged — get a firm quote before committing to any repair work.

General information, not legal or building advice

The content on this website is general information about pool safety compliance in Victoria. It isn't legal advice or building advice specific to your property. Requirements can vary, and we'd recommend confirming anything specific to your situation with your local council or the Building and Plumbing Commission.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the services we provide is limited as set out in these terms and applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
