Pool Safety Certificate
Full barrier compliance inspection. Form 23 issued same-day. Council lodgement guidance for City of Greater Geelong.
Lara is the semi-rural edge of Geelong, where larger lots, lifestyle properties and acreage starts to dominate. Pool inspections here look different to suburban Geelong — fence perimeters can stretch 100+ metres on rural-residential properties, and the barrier compliance economics shift accordingly.
Lara is on our weekly route, typically Wednesdays.
Council: Lara is fully within City of Greater Geelong, but the rural-residential zoning differs from suburban.
Larger fence perimeters change the compliance maths. A typical suburban pool barrier is 30-50 metres of perimeter. Many Lara lifestyle properties have 100-200 metres because the pool sits in a larger landscaped area with the barrier following property features rather than tight pool perimeter. That means compliance issues multiply — a single non-compliant section in 200m of fence is statistically more likely than in 30m. We assess each section.
Mixed pool styles. Lara pools tend to be larger (lap pools, family pools with deep ends) and often include spa areas, water features and pool-adjacent infrastructure. Pool plant access (pump houses, filter sheds) often breaches the compliant barrier perimeter — a common compliance failure in Lara that doesn't show up in suburban inspections.
